I’m Nancy Colburn, certified ADHD coach, specializing in helping parents, students, and families with ADHD. I’m so glad you’re here.

I work collaboratively with clients to help develop strategies for achieving goals, gain skills and knowledge to successfully manage ADHD symptoms, and bring meaningful change to what’s holding you back.

ADHD Coaching for Parents and Children

  • When your child is diagnosed with ADHD, you begin the process of finding out how to create a new parenting style. What works for other parents, or even other children, doesn’t always work for you and your ADHD child. Coaching will support your learning and understanding of this new and interesting parenting journey.

  • We will work together to learn more about your child’s unique brand of ADHD and strategize ways to manage behaviors and overcome roadblocks.

  • We will collaborate on building your toolbox of strategies and skills to help your child feel successful, build positive self-esteem, improve relationships with family and peers, and do better in school.

  • We will find new ways to support your child’s understanding and acceptance of their ADHD traits, abilities, strengths, and challenges.

  • The best part of coaching parents is about helping you be the parent your ADHD child needs right now and into their future.

ADHD Coaching for Teens, College Students, and Young Adults

  • Teenagers and young adults want to be independent. They’re less interested in asking for help from a parent, and you may find yourself struggling to understand why there’s so much conflict. It’s okay to let go of this conflict and let the coaching process help your teen understand their ADHD traits, develop strategies for using their strengths, and find healthier ways to manage their unique brain wiring.

  • ADHD teens typically procrastinate, lack consistent persistence toward a goal, have working memory issues, or have trouble with impulsivity. They may struggle with planning or following through on assignments. They may have time management challenges and are easily distracted from their responsibilities. Your student and I will determine where their challenges lie, then work on creating ways to overcome those issues.

  • What’s exciting about this age is how much they will learn about their own brand of ADHD, and how much they’ll grow from this experience. They will build life-long skills that will help them manage their ADHD traits as they transition from high school to their next path beyond high school and into adulthood.

Testimonials

  • Satisfied Client-

“I absolutely recommend Engage ADHD Coaching. Nancy did a great job tailoring tools to my needs and helped me understand my brain better. It is in large part due to Coach Nancy’s help that I completed a large project that I didn’t think I could do.

  • KV-

“Nancy has been such a blessing to our family. We’ve seen a big difference in how our child handles situations where he’s frustrated- such as striking out at baseball. While we still have so much more to learn, our son has come a long way and we can’t wait to see how he grows with Nancy’s help.”

  • IH-

“Nancy was inspirational for my daughter, and helped her understand that ADHD can be a gift with the right perspective. She really got to know her and where she needed support. My daughter typically doesn’t like coaching, but after every session she was energized and would share what she learned about herself. I highly recommend Nancy.”

  • CR-

“I highly recommend Nancy as a coach. She is kind, caring and passionate about her job. I was desperate for someone to guide me with my son’s ADHD challenges and she did. Also, my son was able to talk to Nancy about it and listened to her advice. I am thankful to find her in this journey.”

  • CK-

“Thank you so much for all you have done for our son. He has come so far from when you first met with him. We are really amazed at how articulate and aware he has become about his ADHD.”
